Avoiding Paper Cuts Through Document Management

Ever received a tiny, insignificant paper cut? In many cases, the pain will bother you for a day or two, and then you will feel better: until it happens again. When you have excess printing in the office, it becomes a paper cut of its own. Look around your office and check how many printers and copiers exist. You should know how many copiers you have in the office. This will reduce waste.

Never let excess printing become a paper cut. Examine your printing habits. Have you completed the switch to digital and rarely print paper? While that might be great, what about your other coworkers. Of course you have to print invoices for mail and other business documents, but in many cases, printing becomes wasteful. A lot of businesses do not care about printing costs. It simply becomes a necessary evil.

While that might be true to an extent, it does not mean that you should print more than needed. Instead, set the default print quality to draft. Unless creating a final document, do you really need the highest print resolution?
